B Skincare is the most amazing, small company that produce beautiful, ethical skincare in the heart of Cornwall. I fell in love with the products around 2007 when I was working in a small local produce shop, whilst training in the evenings to become a beauty therapist. The shop had a great ethos of only stocking food or products produced within a 30 mile radius and one of our stockists was the relatively new company B Skincare. The high quality of the creams with their economical price point and their dedication to being environmentally sustainable made them incredibly special. At that time I remember chatting to the founders of the business, Chris and Sonya, it was a small set up in their kitchen where they literally melted down beeswax and added other ingredients such as essential oils and calendula. It has been amazing to see them gradually grow over the years and they now have a large workshop and a small team of staff.
Having used the products myself for many years and enjoyed using them within my salon, Affina Beauty Studio, I have seen the fantastic results from many of them. My personal favourites are the Peppermint Foot Cream which is antibacterial and highly moisturising for cracked, dry heels; the Baby Care Cream which has given many of my clients relief from eczema and the Rosehip and Vitamin E Face Oil which makes a perfect night time serum. A little tip with the face oil, if you have long hair, is after applying to your face, run your hands through the end lengths of your hair to nourish and rejuvenate it.
We look forward to a long relationship with B Skincare and are really proud to be stockists of these Cornish products. They are really active in developing new skincare and are currently working with the University of Plymouth to explore new possibilities in using camelias, which grow well in Cornwall for their rejuvenating properties.
